| From start to finish this book will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I will ruin you so good! Affliction plays out in the same timeframe as Incandescent only in the perspective of Sy and Holly. Which is great because I has unanswered questions that were all cleared up for me. Sy and Holly... When they meet for the first time its lust at first sight for Holly and confusion for Sy. He's taken aback and is not sure what he's feeling. Of course he automatically want to know what she would feel like underneath him but knows she's bad news for him. Yet as fate will have it they always seem to be bumping into each other until neither can fight the sexual pull any longer. But instead of getting each other out of their systems they get the other in and can't keep them out! I love the backstory we get on Sy. I always wondered why he is the way he is and now it's all cleared up. It broke my heart for him, the pain and suffering he had to endure but he is strong and he WON'T be defeated. Holly, so bright, bubbly and carefree. She loves to pick at Sy, or Sunshine as she likes to call him. The banter between the two might make you piss yourself. Holly is a trooper, she can give it back just as hard as she receives it. Sy finds himself giving in to Holly, letting her penetrate his walls, hat is until tragedy hits and Holly hides away inside of herself. She in now only a shell of the person she use to be. Now that Sy has decided he wants her, she has decided she doesn't want him. Now Sy is on a mission, bring back Holly and he will stop at nothing to get her back. Or will he? They both hide secrets and they both come out...how will each of them take the others? Although this book is riddled with deceit, pain and sadness, it is also filled with beautiful, heartbreaking, love. It was a very emotional read for me but at the same time there were parts in this book that would make you piss yourself laughing! (Strip pool & When Sy reads smut) I'm laughing thinking about it! Its also HOT! The sex between Sy and Holly is....HOT, HOT, HOT! If you read it...you might come... Did I just say that? All you need to know is that this book is a MUST READ! “Your club?” I ask, raising my brow. “Last time I checked, I came here with my best friend, not to see you, so if you’ll excuse me,” I say, trying to push off the wall, but he steps right in, his knee coming between my legs.
